"It Ends Now" High School Program

Below is our high school version of the "It Ends Now" program, thoughtfully designed to introduce the concept of Domestic Violence (aka Domestic Abuse or Teen Dating Violence/Abuse), to a teen audience. This free program consists of a 45-minute lesson that includes an engaging presentation, a realistic scenario of domestic violence, and a guided discussion.

The lesson covers critical topics, such as:

  • What is Domestic Abuse?

  • What does abuse look like and what are some signs of abuse?

    • Includes examples and explanations of emotional abuse such as gaslighting, love bombing, and reactive abuse

  • What are Boundaries? What are healthy ways to respect them?

  • What is Consent? What does consent entail?

  • What is the Cycle of Abuse?

  • What does healthy love look like?

  • What should I do if I’m in a Domestically Abusive relationship?

  • What should I do if I think my friend is in a Domestically Abusive relationship?

This program can be facilitated by one of our trained representatives upon request or presented independently by using the provided materials (the lesson plan is linked below).

Our programs for College students, Teachers/Educators, and community groups are available by email.

Project CIBN is a collective of Domestic Violence and Intimate Partner Violence survivors and allies working to support survivors of DV and IPV, and does not claim to be experts contactable during emergencies. Always dial 9-1-1 when you are in danger. Project CIBN encourages survivors to seek support and resources from law enforcement and support groups in their communities, which can be accessed here.
